DROP THAT BASS

Modern bass is about building pressure, shifting momentum and shaping the visceral depth and driving energy of a track. Pure SUB brings heavyweight bass design and integrated processing together, so you can build your low-end and make it drop with immediacy and control.

Build the foundation

Great bass design is no longer a dark art. Pure SUB breaks the sound into three essential layers so you can shape each independently and build a solid bass core from the ground up.

Sub

Take control of the low end with a dedicated Sub section, shaping the fundamental's level, phase and pitch independently from harmonics. Push processing hard, then use Sub Regen to restore a clean, stable fundamental.

Harmonics

Next, build the tone in Harmonics. Switch between Pressure and Reese modes, explore waveforms from clean 808s to complex, evolving shapes, then use dedicated controls to create everything from focused punch to shuddering stereo movement.

Texture

Complete the core with Noise or Corroder modes. Shape noise against the fundamental using Ring Modulation, AM or Distortion, or add key-tracked White Noise, Sine, Saw and Square tones for grit, movement and greater presence.

Make it growl

Turn a heavyweight core into hard-hitting sound-system impact. Reshape its harmonic profile, push the timbre from clean pressure into hard-edged distortion and texture with the Sub Processor, then use the Maximiser to deliver pumping, controlled loudness.

Shape

Creatively reshape your sound with more than 40 filter modes, from clean contours to driven, destructive shapes. Route Sub, Harmonics and Texture independently to bend exactly the layers you want.

Process

Up the aggression level with the Sub Processor, combining 33 modes with varying degrees of distortion, texture and tonal reshaping. Randomise, or go deeper with 18 effects across 12 FX slots.

Maximise

Everything you need to make your bass shake the ground. Tighten the mix with EQ, compression and multiband processing, then push the Maximiser for heavy pumping, maximum loudness and added grit.

Sub

Generate the fundamental independently from the harmonics, with separate level controls, octave and modulation. Sub Regen lets the original fundamental drive filters, distortion and effects before replacing the processed low end with a clean version — preserving stable phase and amplitude on sound systems.

Harmonics

Switch between 2 dedicated engines: Pressure for low-density harmonic tones, with its own Waveform Editor for creating custom shapes, and Reese for wide, high-density unison. Morph between harmonic positions and stereo variations, shape attacks with the dedicated Pitch Envelope and preserve a consistent timbre with key-tracked EQ.

Texture

Choose between 2 modes for adding grit, movement and pitch-linked detail. Texture blends samples with the fundamental through Ring Modulation, rectified Amplitude Modulation or Distortion, while Corroder adds Noise, Sine, Saw, Square or freq-mod sources at fixed or key-tracked frequencies.

Filter & Reshape

Choose from more than 40 filter modes for clean contouring, driven color or aggressive spectral transformation. Route Sub, Harmonics and Texture independently, reshaping the layers you want while leaving others untouched.

Effect processing

Move between fast, coordinated transformation and fully custom effects design. Shape the complete bass through expert-designed Sub Processor modes, then build and recall your own chains across a 12-slot FX Rack with 18 effects.

Polish & Mix

Refine the bass with compression, multiband processing and EQ inside the FX Rack, then drive the new Maximiser for greater loudness, pumping or grit. Choose Soft for transparent maximisation or Hard for a more clipped and aggressive finish.

Modulate

Animate every stage with 3 envelopes, including a dedicated Pitch Envelope for kick-like attacks and gliding 808s. Fill 6 flexible slots with Function, Random, Envelope, Step Sequencer or Voice Modulator sources, then shape complete transformations with 4 assignable macros, keyboard expression and MPE. Use Modulation Sidechain to make one modulation control another.

Bring any layer to life

A drop-defining bass should never stand still. Shape how every note strikes, moves and evolves with dedicated envelopes and flexible modulation, from pitch dives and syncopated wobbles to shifting Reeses and controlled low-end chaos.

Make it kick

Alongside three fixed envelopes, a dedicated pitch envelope makes punch and impact one click away. Shape the pitch drop to give any bass a harder-hitting transient or create gliding, 808-inspired movement.

Modulate in one drop

Bring your bass to life in seconds. Drag and drop a modulator onto any parameter, dial in the depth, then animate the modulation itself for evolving, unpredictable results.

Choose how it moves

Fill six flexible slots with any combination of Envelope, Function, Random, Voice Modulator or Step Sequencer sources for rhythmic wobbles, evolving Reeses, stepped patterns or note-by-note variation.
